When I started teaching yoga at the neighborhood gym, I needed a way to keep track of my class plans. I couldn’t find one that fit exactly what I needed, so I created a digital yoga class planner on Canva. Because I also created a printable version of it as well, I sent the template to a few of my RYT training classmates who were gracious enough to try it out. They gave me helpful feedback and over the years of teaching, I recreated the yoga class planner template to work harder for me.

So, from one yoga teacher to the next, I’m happy to share a printable and digital yoga class planner to help you jot down your next flow.

I’m always thinking of how I can make it better or different so check out the printables and digital yoga teacher templates.

About the Yoga Class Planner templates

Editable Printable and Digital Templates

The editable template is a master template through Canva. This means that you need to have (at least) a basic/free account with Canva. If you don’t have an account with Canva, no worries— you can just go right for the printable version(s) of the yoga class planner template in the next section.

All of the fields should be editable such as colors, text, fonts and elements. You can personalize it any way you’d like— add your own logo and brand colors. Heck, you could even delete elements and completely change the whole template. Maybe it will be just what you’re looking for to get the creative juices flowing to create your own. If there are design elements that you want to access but can’t because they are available with a Pro subscription, you could always sign up for Canva’s free 30-day Pro subscription. Once you do, come back to this page to grab the yoga planner template.

Once you tweak the template to look just right, you can download it and print it out or download it and upload it to your iPad or tablet and use it on your favorite digital platform such as GoodNotes, MilaNote or Procreate and plan away!

How to Use the Editable Template

So that you can make the template your own, there are a few steps you’ll need to know how to do if you’ve never worked with Canva before.

  1. Click the “get it here” button in the image above. This links to the Canva template. When you click it, it will take you to Canva and open the template.

  2. Once in the design, you may need to unlock the pages to make edits. If so, at the top of each page you’ll see a little padlock image. Click on that until it unlocks. Now, you can edit.

  3. When you are satisfied with your design, it’s time to download it. Look to the top right of your screen and click the “Share” button. This takes you to options of how you’d like to save out the file. Choose “Download” and “PDF Print” under file type. If you need the template saved another way, choose what works for you such as .jpg, .png or more.

  4. From here, you can print or use the file to upload to your software platform on your tablet such as GoodNotes, Milanote or Procreate. GoodNotes seems to have the most ease of use for this template but use what works best for you!

Non-Editable Printable Files

For those of us who don’t own an iPad, or simply prefer handwriting out your class notes on paper, these are the downloadable files (PDFs) for you. Both the color and grayscale PDF files will be together in the same zipped file folder.

Print at Home or Your Local Office Supplies Store

I recreated the digital version into a grayscale version that you can print at home so it doesn’t use up too much printer ink. We know how fickle those at-home printers can be! (Like, why does the cyan ink need to be refilled if you’re printing in black and white?!)

But, if you have an amazing color printer at home, or running low in your ink cartridges doesn’t keep you awake at night, feel free to use the non-editable color printable file.

You could also send the file to your local Office Depot or Staples and have them print and laminate to use over and over. It’s totally up to you!

I hope these templates are enough to help you plan out your next yoga class. If not, maybe they’ll be enough to get your wheels turning to design your own on Canva!

Namasté,

Jen
